FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How can I order a cake?
All my cakes are designed and made to order. If you like what you see in my Gallery, please contact me to start the ball rolling.
The more information you provide, the more thoroughly I will be able to draft a design and quote.
Once the cake design, size and flavours are confirmed, I will send you a confirmation invoice. 50% deposit is required to secure your order. The balance is due on pick up.
How much notice do I need to give for a cake order?
To make sure your cake is created to the highest standard, I work with a 3 week turnaround. If you have an emergency please contact me directly to discuss.
What flavours do you offer?
Cake flavours include vanilla, dark chocolate mud, white chocolate mud, red velvet, coconut, carrot (sultanas and walnuts optional) and banana. I use only the finest quality couverture chocolate in my baking.
Icing flavours include dark chocolate ganache, white chocolate ganache, buttercream icing and cream cheese icing.
Do you cater for allergies e.g. nut free, dairy free, gluten free?
If you have any special dietary requirements please contact me directly to discuss.
Do you deliver your cakes?
Cake fees are based on pickup from Homebush NSW 2140. Delivery costs are extra and depend on distance from Homebush.
What is the best way to transport my cake?
Cakes will be boxed for travel. I usually like to leave them on the floor in front of the passenger seat of the car (slide the passenger seat as far back as possible). Do not travel with the cake on someone's lap as it is more easily damaged. Please drive carefully, especially over speed bumps and around corners.
What do I do with the cake once I have taken it home?
Cakes should be left in a cool room out of direct sunlight. Cakes should not be stored in the fridge before your party.
To remove the cake from the cake box, open the side of the box and slide the cake out carefully.
After your party, any leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
How much do your cakes cost?
The price of a cake depends on its size (driven by the number of guests) and the complexity of the design. At Bake Eat Love one of my key goals is to make your cake affordable, so you can be sure you're getting a fantastic looking cake that tastes great and fits your budget. As a guide, most of the single tiered cakes in my gallery are around the $150 - $250 mark.
Cupcakes covered in buttercream only (no fondant) start from $2.50/each (mini sized) or $3.50/each (standard sized). Fondant decorated cupcakes start from $4.50/each (mini sized) or $5.50.each (standard sized). 3D cupcake toppers and more complex designs are additional. Cupcakes are a minimum order of 12.
What if the date of my party needs to change?
Date changes will be considered depending on availability and as long as there is a minimum of 3 weeks lead time. If the date change cannot be accommodated, the cancellation policy will apply.
What if I need to cancel my order?
In the circumstance of a cancellation with more than 3 weeks notice, I will refund your deposit minus a $20 admin fee.
If you cancel with less than 3 weeks notice, your deposit is forfeited.
How can I pay for my order?
Currently I accept cash or bank transfer.
